'Baba' sitting on parallel takht next to Guru Granth Sahib Ji
Fatehgarh Sahib (KP) - Following the footsteps of fake 'Gurus' of the Naamdharis and Nirankaris, a 'Baba' sat parallel to Sri Guru Granth Sahib during a private function where a family had organized a bhog of an Akhand Path. There was immediately great resentment in the village of Ambeymajra towards the Baba’s behavior. After the local residents complained against him, a team from Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib instantly arrived at the scene.
Preparing himself to perform kirtan, the Baba installed himself parallel to the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib. As per reports, a family had invited a ragi jatha to perform kirtan and Baba Balwinder Singh to attend the religious ceremonies. Although the ragi jatha raised their objection, the family still did not bother and the kirtan continued.
Meanwhile, residents of the village complained to Amarjit Singh, the Fatehgarh Sahib Gurdwara manager, against the attitude of the Baba. The manager immediately sent a team of five people to critically examine the situation. They took the family into confidence and asked the Baba to terminate his kirtan. After Anand Sahib path was completed the team politely asked the Baba to leave but then he refused. The team themselves then took the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib to the local Gurdwara in the village.
Later, when the family and the Baba had been summoned to apologize the Baba did not show. The family appeared in the Gurdwara and apologized on their part for inviting him. They admitted their mistake and will be performing a religious seva of five days.
When Amarjit Singh was contacted about the events, he stated that a team comprising Bhai Harpal Singh and Bhai Nirmal Singh visited the village and after examining the situation found that the Baba was guilty. When Baba Balwinder Singh was contacted he claimed that he is innocent and has faith in the propagation of Gurbani. However, as indicated by the report of these five people, the Baba was guilty and therefore, a complaint was made against him to the Jathedar of Akal Takhat. Amarjit Singh also said that he would be submitting his report to the SGPC secretary.
