Harvinder Singh Phoolka visits Sacramento

Sacramento, California (KP)  -  Harvinder Singh Phoolka, a senior advocate for the Supreme Court, and former additional advocate general in Punjab, is visiting California from June 9-13 and June 20-23. He is well known for taking up the cases of the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh pogroms.

In his lecture on June 11 at Gurdwara Bradshaw in Sacramento, Phoolka will be discussing the details of the compensation package issued by the Indian Government for the victims of the 1984 carnage. He has invited all who are interested to come.

His visit will allow those who wish to discuss their cases regarding their entitlement to do so. As he stated, "I have been getting many calls from those now settled in USA.  I want to use this visit for the benefit of the victims".

Sh. H.S. Phoolka, Sr. Advocate has represented the victims of the pogroms before Justice Ranganath Misra Commission on behalf of Citizen Justice Committee which included eminent Jurist Justice V.M. Tarkunde, Justice Rajinder Sachar, and appeared before Nanavati Commission on behalf of Nov.'84 Carnage Justice Committee, which includes Sh. Kuldip Nayyar, Justice Rajinder Sachar and others.

Citizens Justice Committee and Nov.'84 Carnage Justice Committee have been pursuing the cases of victims of Nov.'84 and demanding punishment of the guilty persons. HS Phoolka has been pursuing these cases selflessly for past 20 years without charging any fees from the victims.
