Sikhs In The Square

London, UK (KP) - Sikhs in the Square is described as a rally for awareness, rememberance of November 1984 and a vigil for Justice. 

A rally has been organised next weekend on Sunday 6th November 2005, from 1:30-4:30pm in the heartof London in Trafalgar Square. Organised by Sikh youth of UK the event is being supported by Gurdwara Sahibs up and down the UK, as well as by various Sikh organisations.

Guest speakers attending will include, the Mayor of London, various MPs and MEPs representatives from National freedom movements, Human rights organisations and Trade unions.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of Sikhs in UK as well as comemmerating the 21st anniversary of the Sikh holocaust of 1984. Programs will end with a candlelight vigil and procession to remember and call for justice for the murder of thousands of innocent Sikhs. 

Various live performances, stalls, refreshments as well as videos and guest speakers have been organised.
