Panthic Organizations Continue Protests Against Spokesman
Friday 25th of April 2008
Panthic Weekly News Bureau

Jathedar Nandgarh Shormani Akali Dal (A), Sikh Student Federation, DamDami Taksal, Akhand Kirtani Jatha, Shahbaaz Khalsa, GURSIKH come out heavy against Rozana Spokesman

Amritsar Sahib (KP) – Terming Joginder Sawney as the Panth’s biggest traitor, Jathedar Nandgarh, while issuing a statement with other Singh Sahibs from Akal Takht Sahib, held that Rozana Spokesman was clearly following the idealogy of Kala Afghana to cause damage to Panthic institutions.  They further alleged that Rozana Spokesman's editor was responsible for collecting millions of rupees from the Khalsa Panth for starting his newspaper but later as the cash flows increased, he turned his back and started revolting against Sikh traditions.

Jathedar Nandgarh told the press that the issue of publishing Yukta’s article came with a well-thought of purpose.  The article was written with the notion to cause disbelief of the status of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the minds of people during the 300th anniversary of Guruship.  He further alleged that by creating a mockery of Sikh institutions and traditions, Joginder Sawney had crossed all limits and the Khalsa Panth will never allow such wrongdoing.

 Cases registered against Rozana Spokesman

Joining hands with Shormani Akali Dal (A), Sikh Student Federation General Secretary Gurminder Singh Chawla held that his organization would launch projects to expose Rozana Spokesman’s anti-Sikh activities.  He further demanded that derogatory articles must stop being published or else the newspaper will have to face serious consequences.

Chawla, along with leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (A), has appealed to Government officials to stand strong against Rozana Spokesman.   Akali Dal Amritsar leadership, based in different villages of Punjab, registered cases against the Rozana Spokesman for insulting Sikh traditions.  These leaders demanded an inquiry into Rozana Spokesman and held that the editor, along with Hari Yatan Yukta, must be arrested soon.
