JALANDHAR, PUNJAB - Inder Gagga, an ardent follower and supporter of another excommunicated Canada based cop turned writer, Kala Afghana, was today not allowed to speak from the Gurdwara stage. Mr. Ghagga was scheduled to address the sangat on the birth day celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh ji at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Model, Jalandhar.  But when it was brought to the notice of the gurdwara management that the controversial writer stands excommunicated  by Akal Takhat itself, the Secretary of the Gurdwara promptly informed Ghagga that his programme stands cancelled.

Mr. Ghagga claims to be associated with the missionary colleges of Ludhiana but none of these missionary colleges are ready to adopt him. Sikh Missionary College had already denied having a relationship with the controversial writer and had announced that he was not an alumnus of the college, as claimed by him.

On 21st June, 2006, Akal Takhat had issued an edict asking Sikhs all over the world not to allow Kala Afghana's progeny, Ghagga and any of his associates, to speak from any stage of a Gurdwara. The Hukamnama signed by Jathedar Vedanti had also called upon the Sikhs not to lend any support or assistance to any of the programmes chalked out by this group which has indulged in heinous and nefarious anti-panthic activities.

The Hukamanama of Akal Takhat was issued as Inder Ghagga's activities and anti-panthic utterances in Toronto had invited the wrath of the local Sikhs and which led to an unsavoury situation and clashes in different gurdwaras there.

The management Committee of Model Town Gurdwara was informed of all these backgrounders by well meaning local Sikhs and organisations, and immediately taking cognizance of this, cancelled Ghagga's programme. The Committee felt relieved and thanked those who brought this Hukamnama to their attention and heaved a sigh of relief as otherwise they would have got involved in an activity which could have easily invited the wrath of Akal Takhat.
