GURSIKH leader takes on DGP Virk
Wednesday 11th of October 2006
Panthic Weekly News Bureau

Indore, Madhya Pardes (KP) - In the ongoing court case between one branch of the Damdami Taksal and Panthic Jathebani GURSIKH (which released eye opening video 'Tabeh Roos Jageyo' on the RSS and other work exposing the RSS) has taken a new and interesting twist. Head of the GURSIKH organization Bhai Ratinder Singh has pressed charges against Punjab Police DGP S.S Virk.

He filed against the DGP as the latter failed to follow court orders to arrest those accused of slandering him. The court had ordered the arrest after the head of Damdami Taksal at Sangravan and 79 others were taken to court for publishing an article in their monthly magazine 'Singh Garj' which slandered Bhai Ratinder Singh of GURSIKH. It seems, as the DGP S.S Virk did not carry out the courts orders due to the political influence exerted by the guilty party.

Surprisingly, none from the charged party has appeared in court for the first three hearings. A few members of the accused group arrived in Indore about three days ago. They include Sukhpreet Udhoke, Baljeet Singh Khalsa (Fatehnama), Sandeep Kaur Kashtiwal, Sukhdev Singh (Gurmat Pustak Bhandar) and others.

They were staying at Gurdwara Imli Sahib where they are seeking the support of Gurdwara committee members in brokering an out of court settlement. The next hearing regarding the charges filed against the Punjab Police DGP S.S Virk will be on October 17th, 2006. For background information, regarding this article and attempted defamation of Bhai Ratinder Singh by Damdami Taksal 'Sangravan branch' and others can be read on the following past Panthic Weekly articles:
