Jammu - The Guru Manyo Granth society expressed deep anguish over the killing of innocent Kashmiris who were demanding an alternative trade route to support their livelihood.

The society also strongly condemn the strongly condemned the Killing of senior Hurriyat Leader Shiekh Abdul Aziz and termed the incident of firing on innocent people as barbaric and inhumane.

In a statement issue here, the society urged the members of all the community to maintain peace and keep calm so as to disperse the tension that has arisen in the state for the past more than one month.

The society condemned use of brutal force on the innocent protesters be it in Jammu or in Kashmir, and said that there were other means by which the problem could have been solved.

"Using force on innocent people is a crime, killing of innocent protesters be it in Kashmir or in Jammu is an act which puts the entire humanity into shame." The statement said.

The society urged the government not to resort to use of brutal force to crush the voice of the people as use of force on innocent people could further aggravate the situation and would further escalate the situation.

The society urged the people of Jammu to henceforth end the "economical blockade" of Valley as targeting a region which we consider and integral part of the country is unacceptable.

The society wants to make it clear that on one hand the Sikh population of the country wants the situation to be resolved amicably and with dialogue, on the other the Sikh population of the country wants to maintain a neutral stand on the issue and does not extend their support to any of the party.

"We want to remain neutral, as both Muslims of Hindu's are dear to us. We only want that both the communities should sit together and help end the impasse that has taken an alarming shape and magnitude." The statement said.

The participation of Sikhs in anti Kashmir protest is a ploy by some communally motivated parties to showcase that the anti Kashmir protest has the support of Sikh community; the Sikh participants in such anti Kashmir rally are gullible people members of the community who are either out just for their petty interests or are forcibly being compelled to take part in such agitation.

The society said that the decision of Punjab to enforce economic blockade of Kashmir is the most unfortunate part on the Punjab government and the decision has been taken under pressure of BJP which has a major stake in Punjab government.

The Guru Manyo Granth society extends its condolences for the people who lost their lives in the ongoing agitation and have appealed the state and the central government to henceforth stop this barbaric massacre of the people.
