Chandigarh, Punjab - On Friday, a delegation that comprised of representatives from Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, UK, and the USA asked the Jathedar of Akal Takht, Joginder Singh Vedanti, to take action against Baba Daljeet 'Singh' of Chicago. The delegation claims that it represents more than 115 Gurdwaras and panthic organizations from six countries.
The Baba was exposed on Panthic Weekly in prior weeks after he had spent the night in a Wauconda motel with a woman who was not his wife. The Baba, as readers will recall, fled the scene when confronted by the local Chicago sangat. General Secretary of the Sikh Religious Society of US, Kulwant Singh Hundal said; "there were 14 eyewitnesses to the incident of November 17."
Daljeet later served a legal notice to serval people that claimed to sue for 50 million US dollars (Rs 22 crore) in damages alleging that he had been wrong fully defamed in addition to; invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and conspiracy. The Baba filed the lawsuit on Tuesday December 27, 2005 in the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Lake County, Illinois against Kulwant Singh Hundal, Bhupinder Singh Hundal, Sadhu Singh Rikhiraj, Bharpoor Singh, and Prabhjot Singh Bansi. Attached is copy pf the legal notice that was by the defendents.

The call for action against the Baba however, may perhaps be nerve racking for the Akal Takhat Jathedar, as he and several other top clerics have enjoyed the hospitality many time of pseudo preacher and is who is now in hot water after being exposed.
Although the police did establish the Wauconda motel incident as being authentic, no criminal charges were placed on the Baba since the woman was not under age and it was consensual. The delegation is asking Jathedar Vedanti to reject Baba Daljeet from his position as a preacher of Sikhism on moral grounds.
