Jammu Kashmir (KP) - Sudershan Singh Wazir, prominent Sikh leader and ex-president Gurudwara Parbandhak Board Saturday held the Army and former deputy Prime Minister LK Advani responsible for the massacre of 36 Sikhs in Chittisinghpora village of Islamabad district in March 2000. He said the then government of India tried to create a gap between Muslims and Sikhs of Jammu and Kashmir.
“BJP leader and former Home Minister, LK Advani is responsible for the killing of (five) innocent Kashmiris at Pathribal and killing of more then 30 Sikhs at Chittisinghpora. After CBI findings, the picture of both the incidents is getting clear and the culprit behind these incident are our own protectors,” Wazir said at a news conference here.
He said the apprehensions of Sikhs of Jammu and Kashmir in particular and public in general about the real perpetrators of the massacre which took place during the visit of former US president Bill Clinton to India, have come true.
Wazir said the “real saga of massacre has started unfolding itself bit by bit through CBI probe and needs further investigation as to what led to the massacre of innocent Sikhs.”
Narbir Singh, president JK Youth Akali Dal while speaking on the occasion said the innocents were made a scapegoat to impress the US policymakers of a deep rooted conspiracy.
He demanded a through probe in the whole matter. “Those involved in the killings of innocent Kashmiri Muslims and Sikhs should be brought to book,” he added.
Mohinder Singh, Chief Organizer Bhai Kanhiya Nishkam Seva Society while addressing the press conference said that the dark side of then NDA government has come to fore because of the recent finding of CBI in Pathribal killing.
He also demanded a judicial commission to look into the whole episode and punishment should be given to the persons responsible.
All the speakers called upon the “progressive and right thinking people” of the state to rise above the party political consideration and raise their voice against this conspiracy against a miniscule minority of the country.
