Patiala, Punjab (KP) – Rulda Sinh, the controversial RSS chief who once led the organization to its height, has once again appointed as the RSS' State Chief of Punjab. The appointment of Rulda has come at a time when the Sikh Nation is celebration the 300th Gurta-Gaddi Gurpurab of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Not only has the latest move by the RSS anguished the Sikh Nation, it has also put the Shiromani Akali Dal (B) in a tough situation as it has close ties with the BJP, the organization that oversees developments in the Sangh.
In the past few years, several tries have been made by the Shiromani Akali Dal (B) leadership to use its influence in getting the 'sandesh' against RSS revoked, however considering the amount of opposition the RSS faces through Panthic Organizations, this has not been possible. Now with appointment of a fresh Jathedar and the Sikh Nation already concerned about issues such as those stirred up by Gurmeet Ram Rahim and Prof. Darshan Singh, the Sikhs needs to stay watchful so that the actual sandesh against the RSS is not overturned.
Shortly after Rulda's appointment was announced, the Sangh made a formal announcement that it will be taking part in the 300th Gurta Gaddi programs that are being held across different States. A hint of a possible meeting between Rulda Sinh and Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh has also been announced to take place shortly.
