New Delhi (KP) - Sikh Journalist Jarnail Singh, who received worldwide attention for flinging a shoe at India’s Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, was recently manhandled by riffraffs connected to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar outside the Delhi’s Karkardooma courts complex.
Long-time Sajjan Kumar acquaintance, Atma Lubana, along with a number of his associates physically assaulted the Sikh journalist and threatened him with dire consequences because Jarnail Singh had exposed their dubious activities in his recent memoirs.
In an exclusive interview with Panthic, Journalist Jarnail Singh explained that he was at the court-house to provide moral support and assistance to Bibi Nirpreet Kaur and other key 1984 witnesses who were present at Sajjan Kumar’s anticipatory bail hearing.
The Karkardooma court had earlier granted the November 1984 anti-Sikh pogroms inciter Sajjan Kumar anticipatory bail in connection to the cases pending against him.
Jarnail Singh stated that Atma Lubana and his supporters were also responsible for intimidating and harassing many key November 1984 pogroms witnesses, including Satnami Bai, Darshan Kaur, and Anwar Kaur. He has detailed these allegations in his recently published book “I Accuse...The Anti-Sikh Violence of 1984..”

Atma Lubana was also summoned to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and reprimanded for his unscrupulous role in intimidating the November 1984 witnesses and victims.
Jarnail Singh described Atma Lubana as a “Panth dokhi” and “Panth gaddaar” who has continuously harassed, intimidated, and bribed poor and helpless witnesses against HKL Bhagat, Sajjan Kumar, and Jagdish Tytler.
Commenting on the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and supremo, Paramjit Sarna's assistance in regards to the 1984 cases, he noted:
“Those people are scared to even talk about 1984. For 25 years, they have never held a single Akhand Patth in commemoration of 1984, and have not even allowed an Ardas to be done for the 1984 victims”.
He pointed out that Sarna and the Delhi committee have never even made a single statement in regards to the November 1984 cases and the 25 years of injustices that have followed, nor have they provided any assistance or protection to the ’84 witnesses.
Regarding the upcoming DSGMC centered “World Sikh Convention”, Jarnail Singh stated : “They (DSGMC) have been completely silent on the biggest issue for the last 25 years (1984 Sikh Genocide), what can they really accomplish at the World Sikh Samelan?
It is interesting how one person can stay away from justice for so long. Valiant Sikhs should come together to get justice as they have always done in the past. Kudos to Jarnail Singh and Harvinder Singh Phoolka for constantly fighting. we as a community should rally behind them and provide our support.

Atma Singh Lubana & Avtar Singh Hit both belong to Akali Dal Badal & both had tried to buy Satnami Bai and even assaulted Satnami Bai in HKL Bhagat's Case. Hit was also summoned at Akaal Takhat Saahab for the same and had undergone tankhah for the same. Bhagat has since died on bed

These people like Atma Lubana, Parkash Badal, Sukhbir Badal, Sarna and many others are POLITICIANS and have no interest in the people or Sikhi. They may say a lot of things but their actions speak louder.

I have no complaints to our politicians, as we know that how sincere they are in finding the truths and taking actions. All the complaints to Sikh Community, as they failed to rehabilitation of the victims and didn't demonstrate their unity to bring justice

WE have some rotten people like Atma Singh Lubana exposing them in this case is the right thing.
We are all with you and Phoolka - your a example of our true Sikh Panth Khalsa.
Expose these people - love to see people like you to visit Canada and bring these things to the Canadian Sikh community -you will be supported.
